    Your 2-day tour of World Heritage–listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park starts with pickup in Alice Springs or at Ayers Rock Airport and travels to Uluru on the first day, and Kata Tjuta on the second day. Sleep overnight at a campsite located within the national park, and share a dinner cooked over the campfire. Camping accommodations are basic but comfortable, consisting of a permanent tent or a swag—the Outback term for a bedroll, which contains a mattress, sheet, and pillow. Experience the sunset and sunrise at Uluru, and enjoy guided walks at both Uluru and Kata Tjuta, with informative commentary about Aboriginal culture and traditions, especially as related to this sacred place.

    What can I say an absolute fantastic experience!! Alex our tour driver/guide/chef was a mindful of knowledge, energy and has a wonderful zest for life. The tour itself is fulfilling and full of new experiences like sleeping under the stars in a swag bag for instance. Have fun and definitely have trainers as a minimum of footwear for all the walking.

    My sister and I went on this tour last week while in Australia and had a great time. Despite last minute changes to our pick-up location due to flight issues, the tour company was flexible and worked to accommodate us! Our tour guide, Alicia, was knowledgeable about the Anangu—we enjoyed learning about her connection to the Northern Territory and Australia's recent efforts to be more respectful of Aboriginal culture—as well as the ecology and geology of the region. The only downside to the tour was sharing space with those who couldn't care less about the Anangu's statement to visitors not to climb Uluru (thankfully that won't be an option next month) or signs indicating sacred sites with no photos taken. If we were to book another tour to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, we would instead look for one that requires the group to be mindful of whose land they are visiting and honor their rules.

    We decided to take the two day tour with a friend and to be fair I think we would have been happy to make it last. A fun and interesting trip, the group was really good and a lot of information. Sleeping in a swag was a great experience and the walks were great. The tour guide was full of knowledge and adapted to the people in the group. Really happy and would recommend it to anyone! Worth the detour!

    I had booked an overnight at Uluru and had inflatable mattress sleeping bag etc ready in my bag. For some reason officially : Truck problem pure lie I was put in another group I found at the airport the group which was going to sleep under the stars was average much younger than me, I was put in a group of people ranging from 30 to probably 55-60, I am 73 but I have been trekking 12 days in Sahara Desert two years ago 2015 and many times all along my life. So, the difference of age was not a problem for me, but was probably one for the Tour Operator. So we did nor sleep next to Uluru in the bush, but in pre-installed square cabins some 20 km from the Rock, with a kitchentoilets block. Everything was nice, but I removed one star from my review because of missing this open-air night I was expecting against 12 nights in the sand / rocks in Algeria Desert near Libyan border !!!.

    Everything you need @ Uluru! We got to see Uluru and Kata Tjuta during the tours. Both were impressive to see up close, Uluru is massive, and Kata-Tjuta had a lot of different terrain to climb/hike through and see. Tour Guide Annabelle was very knowledgeable about the history, geology, flora/fauna, with a number of great stories. Food was good, nothing special but you're camping. Tents were solid along with the cots or you could sleep outside in a SWAG!. Sunrise/sunset views are contingent on weather but you're in the best spot to see them. All around ticks the boxes!
