Epic day

Long review but this tour is well worth it!! First and foremost, Jhony was an incredible guide. Professional and extremely knowledgeable! He told us little known facts and had the most up to date info on the new research and findings. You could tell he has a personal interest in the sites and the history behind them, not just going through the paces. The tour itself is unbelievable. The drive to chichen itza it’s about two hours but driving through many small villages and you can see how different people live. The restaurant where we had lunch was almost as beautiful as the ruins themselves! The cenote on this tour was by far the best I’ve seen since being here (been to 6 so far) and it was not crowded at all. We were there for about 45 minutes and most of the time it was just our group. About 7-8 other people came while we were there but not overwhelming at all.

Wonderful day!

What a great trip! It’s a long day, so don’t plan on doing anything else and bank on having a late dinner afterward - but so worth it! Alberto was wonderful, knowledgeable, and a real advocate for Mexico and the environment. Mexico Kan Tours doesn’t use plastic bottles, brings great, fresh snacks (the homemade granola bars were delicious) and really takes pride in reducing their environmental footprint. Chichen Itza was great and lovely to see, but our favorite part was the stop in Valladolid for lunch (amazing!) and the cenote. We were so lucky that the cenote was empty at the time we arrived - it was quite incredible and magical to be the only small group there! It’s a lot of traveling and riding in a van (we were picked up at 6:15am and arrived back at our resort by 8:15pm), so plan on that and you will have an amazing time. There are so many tours to choose from in the Yucatán, choose this one. Small, personalized, informative, and just lovely. Thanks Alberto for a great day!
