The tour was great! My group really enjoyed the views and also the info we got along the way. The hike was a little challenging at some points but our guide Issac made it very smooth. Overall it was very worth it!

The Hike to waterfall

Isaac was our tour guide. He was very nice knowledgeable and personable. He made everything sound easy. The trip up the mountain was daunting but when we reached the waterfall it was well worth it. The climb down was a lot easier then going up. Even though it seem overwhelming at first me and my husband are glad we did it. Thank you Isaac.

Excellent tour guide (Jerry)

We had a great time. Tour guide Jerry was a wonderful gentleman to get along with. He was communicative, funny and kept on sharing a lot of valuable information about the island. He is knowledgeable too. The hiking was adventurous since it involves climbing on rocks that are not comfortable for hikers without equipment. Jerry helped each one of us while climbing those harder points. He made sure that everyone is safe and comfortable. We stopped at a local restaurant after the hike, and the food was ready when we went there! I highly recommend this tour even though it is not in the El Yunque rainforest.

The best tour EVER!

We had the most incredible time on the “Hidden Waterfall Tour” due to the rainforest not being completely open. It had all we hoped for! Adventure, beautiful scenery, and great Puerto Rican food. We couldn’t have asked for better tour guides. They were absolutely amazing!

Unique - don’t miss if you like an adventure

This is the best trip I’ve ever booked through Viator. If you want a unique experience away from crowds, this is for you. We only saw three other people unconnected with our group of 10. A few things to note: one, wear a good hiking sneaker with socks. You have the option to hike further up a waterfall and at some point you will take off your shoes and hike over rocks in your socks. It sounds strange but your socks will give you a good grip on the rocks which can be slippery. (Bring an extra pair of socks for after.)Two, plan on a rock scramble. You will use your hands and fingers and core to move over the rocks. Jerry and Isaac are always there to help and make sure you can get through the hike safely. Three, wear your swimsuit and lightweight shorts and top. It is humid but there are shady spots along the way. The distance is only about a half mile from the falls but takes about 45 minutes. After the hike, you’ll go get lunch at a cool open air restaurant that serves traditional Puerto Rican food. Jerry has put so much thought and effort into this business. He is such a great person who loves his home. His enthusiasm is infectious!

Great day trip with Jerry and Steven
OliviaCL

Jerry and Steven were really incredible guides. They were so helpful and patient. The tour itself is really beautiful. The drive to where the hike starts is also really beautiful and they stopped along the way to let us take pictures of all the breathtaking views of San Juan. They're attentive along the hike and at the waterfall, where you won't find more than a couple other people and is pretty much all to yourself/the rest of the group. The pictures don't do it justice, it's the most beautiful waterfall I've seen and perfect for swimming. After picking you up near our hotel (for no additional cost) they start the day at an inexpensive little local bakery for breakfast and end the day at local restaurant that literally waits for you with the food on the table and is also inexpensive (11 beers were $23!). The guides were fun, informative, and so friendly all throughout. I've been on tours three times as expensive that were not half as fun or to such a pretty place. The value is incredible and I would have happily paid twice as much for this experience. The rest of the group found the hike manageable and got through it quickly. I happened to have a hard time because I'm pretty overweight (recently lost 100 pounds and got too ambitious...) and they made it possible to get through by literally pushing and pulling me along the way, which was embarrassing but they didn't make me feel bad about it and I was very appreciative. Don't miss out on this tour, it would have been a shame to not have added this to our trip.
