The tour was absolutely amazing. The workers were very nice and accommodating, I definitely recommend taking this big bus tour when you visit! Bring a jacket too because it does get a bit chilly :)

Avoid the Big Bus San Francisco - NOT a hop on hop off experience worth repeating!!!

The Internet purchase option required the top package purchase which included 2 days on the bus and many other extras like a Sausalito tour and several other things. To start with the several other extras that would have made it worthwhile were mostly not operating and no one bothered to tell us about that so we wasted a full day of our short vacation trying to chase down ways to get the most from our tickets. On Thursday, we waiting an hour and a half for a bus to pick us up at Union Square. There were other buses, but the uneven application of social distancing caused us to wait 90 minutes for a ride....only to find oud out when we crossed the Golden Gate bridge that, "oh the Sausalito tour is not running now." All in all the bus tour was enjoyable the first time around when we went from start to finish...but the notion of this being a successful "hop on/hop off" experience is very much a misnomer. The application of social distancing was NOT uniform among all staff and drivers. In some cases, people were seated every seat and in other cases social distancing was strictly enforced. Drivers would not let anyone sit inside the bus even though there was a full level of seats there, and it was 53 degrees outside. We will AVOID the Big Bus Tours in any future travels.

Nice, but terrible feedback on headphones

The tour is comprehensive, the bus is clean, but the sound system is awful - so much feedback on the headphones, we only heard about 10% of the narration- same for the people around us. The employees told us there was literally nothing they could do.

Cold, uninformative as the information was not paid through, I could only get music. No matter what station I put it on

When I got off, and got to view the aquarium, ride the Ferris wheel, but missed getting into the tea garden. The driver could’ve done better by letting us know how much time would be left if we got off and needed to be picked up later. Was not impressed by the staff. Both drivers were cranky, gave me miss information, and I had to end up paying for an Uber to take me back to my hotel.

Really liked the bus tour and learning the history of the city. Staff was very nice and helpful. The weather was cold and windy and with having to sit on top; made it quite cold. Nonetheless, I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Not prepared for social distancing

Social distancing requirements means less people on buses so mire waiting times at stops. It would be great if there were many more buses providing service.

Soaking wet

We’ve done these tours in other cities to get a quick tour of the city highlights. This was fine and no different. Unfortunately, the weather changed and we were soaked through and through. Covid policies required us to stay on top. No one allowed inside. Seats wet, steady cold rain and disfunctioning headsets because of the rain ruined the tour. Small ponchos provided did not help much.

Good value

All staff was pleasant and the bus went exactly where it said it would. Only negative, is there are no seat belts and it is a little hairy going over the bridges, on top of the bus, without them. Otherwise, it is an informative tour and a way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time.

It was “great” the only issue. Due to Covid we had to be outside, extremely cold. I wish I would of brought a blanket “lol”
