Leaning Tower of Pisa Afternoon Tickets

Recommend if you want to skip the line and be guaranteed entry, as we missed out on our last visit to Pisa.

The Tower is great to see and fairly easy to climb. This ticket while advertised as skip the line, it is not. Also the time was supposed to be 16:30 but it was actually 16:45. Though not a big deal, if you are on a tight schedule it can be. Trying to find the "yellow sign" was impossible and had to call to ask where they were to which they responded "Oh, I'll call the girl".

It was a little tricky to find the meeting point on our own (Google maps doesnt understand cnr of) but the information counter mid way down the left hand side of the square (when facing the tower) were very helpful. The operator arrived on rime and delivered our tickets. While the cost of the ticket was slightly more the benefit of getting our ticket without queuing and getting the timeslot that worked for us was worth it. This is not a guided tour it is about somone else buying your ticket on your behalf in advance. That worked perfectly for us. The Leaning Tower organises have it down to a fine art. You ownly queue when it is 5-10 mins before your timeslot. Make sure you have no bagg with you because you can't take it with you. There are lockers available where the ticket counter is. All in all a great experience.

This was a great way to get to climb the tower. It was easy to meet up with the tour guide at the corner of the cathedral Square to exchange our voucher for the ticket which had been booked the day before. I didn't realise that entrance to the cathedral was included so had already visited the cathedral as part of another tour ticket.

Service was very efficient and the visit exceeded our expectations. The history of the tower very interesting and the climb to the top very enjoyable.

Excellent. Fun. Easy to obtain tickets and the location was right at the Tower. Appointment to ascend the Tower was fulfilled on time.

The visit to the leaning tower of Pisa on 10 July, was wonderful. However, Viator over charged us for our tickets. I booked 4 tickets online through the viator website and was charged €128\-. We waited for the agent at the designated spot from 2.30pm. Our tickets were for the 4.30pm entrance. When the CAF agent finally showed up at 4.30 pm with our tickets for the 5.00 pm entrance; after 2 phone calls, we discovered that the tickets she gave us stated that the cost for four tickets was €72/- and not €128/-. There was a difference of €56/- euros. I called up the number on my mobile voucher for the third time, but did not receive a clear explanation for the extra charge. There were tickets available at the leaning tower of Pisa official counter for €72/- for four people. We could have booked directly at the counter and entered for the earlier time slot. When I booked on the Viator website it seemed to imply that tickets weren’t easily available. We were disappointed and felt cheated of €56/- Euros. When questioned, the CAF agent’s response as to why we were overcharged, was “viator is expensive, they always overcharge” and she dismissed us. I would definitely not book any more tickets through viator. It was such a bad experience!

Worth the upcharge. Yes you can buy directly from Pisa box office. Will it be sold out? Do you have long lines? Must you wait hours to get up? This ticket allows you to.show up exactly when you need to climb up. Dont waste your time waiting around Buy it through Viator and use your time to tour around Pisa

Worth the climb! Enjoyed the cathedral and baptistery tour too. Great views on the ground and at the top.

Many problems and I expect a full refund: 1st, tickets are only $18 at Pisa. I paid $38 thru Viator. 3rd: no yellow CAF sign to be found, and I walked and asked 6 different locations. Buy your tickets at Pisa. Very disappointing Viator!!!
