After morning pickup at select locations in Phoenix or Scottsdale, relax on your drive through the Sonora Desert, en route to some of the American Southwest's most beautiful highlights.

Your drive brings you through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as you increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As you continue further into northern Arizona, travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, one of the largest contiguous forests of ponderosa pines in the world.

Williams is the first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition.

Your van climbs up to 6,000 feet (1,800 meters) before you reach your first stopping point in Grand Canyon National Park. Expect ample time to explore the features around the deepest and widest part of the canyon, which measures 277 miles (445 km) in length. Visit the El Tovar Hotel and Hopi House in Grand Canyon Village, multiple scenic lookout points along the East Rim Drive, and have time to shop, go for a walk, grab lunch (own expense), and visit cultural exhibits along the rim.

Your tour ends in the evening upon your return to your starting point in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area.

Great trip, Great guide Derek!

This was a wonderful trip! Our guide Derek was great! Derek new so much about Arizona history, plants, and the Grand Canyon. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to do the Grand Canyon in one day and not have to do all the driving yourself. The food, restroom, gas stops gave you time to stretch, etc. Additionally the knowledge shared by Derek made it worth every penny, especially since he knew how to avoid the crowds! Thank you Derek for a memorable day! One bit of advice, if you want to eat lunch there make reservations way ahead of time at the El Tovar Hotel/Restaurant to save yourself time waiting in line. This was a great trip. Derrick was a fantastic guide. He was informative, knowledgeable, and flexible. His understanding of the GC allowed us to see and do more. This trip was amazing. The ride up from Phoenix went by quick as Derrick took time to explain sites, history, and points of interest. Things we would not have known.

Helicopter Option Is Not a Good Idea
James_K
, Apr 2021
My most memorable moment was my first sight of the Grand Canyon. Breathtaking! However, having the helicopter ride option as part of this trip does NOT work. It takes time to drop the passengers off, and it takes away valuable time with the guide because he dropped us off, and then had to go back and pick up the helicopter passengers. The guide was very well versed and provided interesting facts on the drive to the canyon. We had less than ten minutes with him at the Grand Canyon. The cost of this trip is basically for the transportation. We booked the trip thinking we would have a guide at the Grand Canyon. That did not happen. Disappointing!

Hi James, We have NEVER seen that much traffic at the Grand Canyon EVER.The guide was talking all the way to the Grand Canyon so we are Not just transportation. We also have tried to adapt to the changing times to make the guest experience amazing.Try not complaining after the last year the travel industry endured is what I would say!!

Wow, where do we start! Lets start by saying this is one experience to remember! Jennifer was amazing! She had great energy throughout the whole trip and ensured our safety! The most memorable would be going on the Bright Angel Trail! Jennifer did warn us of ice and suggested we don't go too far down. This is good because we were even more cautious of the hike. Overall, we hiked about a mile and wished we had more time to go further. The first view on the entrance of south rim was AMAZING!
