The cruise itself was great, but Viator needs to do a better job of giving directions on how to get to the boat. The signage at the Canal is not good. Also the receipt did not show the name of the boat which would have prevented us from an unnecessary 20 minute march to the wrong boat.

The most memorable part of the experience was how the history of the canal was explained. Also, the boat ride was fun and relaxing, and was a good length. The tour guide was fun and knowledgeable. However, the place was hard to find. Better directions on the website (eg, where to go from Elgin Street, head to the flags, down the stairs, etc), need to be given. Finally found it after nearly an hour of searching.

This was a lovely relaxing experience even in our case in the pouring rain! The guides were great and funny, a brilliant view of Ottawa down the canal and comfortable and dry seating. Bonus was the great music throughout.

Lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon....on an electric boat (bateau mouche?)on the Rideau Canal. Loved the commentary in english and french - interesting facts, tidbits and a little shtick! At 1.5 hours, just long enough. Great music too!
