Please drive out to Haleiwa Harbor on Oahu's north shore to meet the boat. Due to Covid-19 we are not currently offering van transfers to the harbor.

This activity will end right where it started.
Your Oahu shark dive begins at Haleiwa boat harbor on the island’s famous North Shore, where you motor out to the open ocean offshore. While cruising out to the shark diving area, there’s a chance you could see dolphins, sea turtles, surfers or even humpback whales in winter, and the view looking back at Oahu’s shoreline is worth the trip in itself.

Since safety is one of the top priorities for the Oahu shark diving crew, receive a briefing on safe practices and how to act in the cage. Then, when it’s time to finally go looking for sharks, strap on your masks, step in the cage, and your shark watching adventure begins when you’re lowered in the water.

Out here in the open ocean away from the runoff and waves, visibility can often extend to as much as 200 feet (60m). When you first catch sight of a graceful shark swimming slowly but purposefully towards you, there’s a sudden and potent rush of adrenaline you simply can’t contain. Before you can even be scared, however, the sharks have swum to within inches of the cage and are circling in front of your face.

In the waters around Oahu, the most commonly sighted sharks you might find are Galapagos, Hammerhead, and Sandbar sharks, which range from 5-15 feet (1.5-4.5m) dependent upon their age. For travelers wanting to dive as a group, the cage can comfortably hold two adult divers and up to eight at a time—though it depends on current weather conditions and the amount of movement in the water.

And, if you simply don’t want to dive in the cage but are hoping to see some sharks, there’s still plenty of thrilling action you can experience while viewing from the deck of the boat.

I’m so glad we found this experience! It was perfect and I’ll never forget it. We felt safe and secure the whole time, and it was surreal seeing all the sharks down there. I recommend taking motion sickness pills the night before and morning of if you’re prone to it. My husband did and he it helped a lot with sea sickness. When you go in the cage, we took the mouth piece off and held our breath to get a better view of the sharks and it was super helpful to do that. We will definitely book again the next time we are here!
I highly recommend Oahu shark dive!

The crew was great! The water was a bit choppy but it didn't dampen the fun we had in the cage. It was awesome! The water was clear and the sharks were beautiful!

Not great

It was horrible. The water was too rough. So they didn't want to video tape the experience so we have no real memories. If they notified us we could of brought the GoPro. We were bounced around the cage so much I got bruises

When they first arrived to shark spot and the sharks were circling the boat the feeling was surreal. No bathrooms on the boat were a little Difficult and both daughter and bf got seasick. The bathrooms at the harbor were the worst we have Ever seen on this island and that was bad especially when throwing up. The crew was awesome the kiosk people Great Shane the booking guy was responsive and communicative. The boats were very nice and seaworthy!
Worth the money if you love sharks

Missed our original time and had to reschedule for $86 for 2 people, Shane was very helpful to switch our time to the 7:30 instead of 7. The crew was so friendly and gave lots of information and instructions! Saw close to 20 sharks it was awesome!!

Choppy but good experience.

Hosts were accommodating. Ran on time. Saw plenty of sharks and a large barracuda. Water was choppy so got banged up a bit against the cage (no fault of the company). Had trouble finding correct shack so when I called, was told to go to pink shack but no one was there. Found out it’s the blue shack where they were selling shirts, hoodies, hats, etc. which is on it’s own. Once checked in, you then wait in front of a grouped set of shacks (loc of pink one). No shoes boat.
Phenomenal experience!!

Out of all the excursions we did this was by far the best experience not only was the experience good because of how many sharks we got to see but because of the instructors they were amazing and made the trip worth it we can’t wait to come back and do it again!
