Light Exercise, Great Views, Good Food!

Kelly was very informative and overall a great guide. We had a great time. Perfect balance of tour and a little bit of exercise. Kelly took some great photos and set up a great lunch.
Great tour guide and a wonderfully personalized experience of the area. Highly recommend!!!

Great mix of biking, hiking, and walking with restroom and lunch breaks. Breath-taking views of the Honolulu skyline and crater/valley from atop Diamond Head. Appreciated having someone to capture the moments for us on camera. The tacos and spicy fries were delicious! Thanks and looking forward to recommending this tour to our friends :)
Unwelcoming…it got political.

Ok, so this is a lot to unpack… Great communication! Prior to the tour, they reached out to me because of a schedule conflict, and they were able to provide lots of options to resolve the matter, and we were able to reschedule very easily. The tour by itself was great. It highlighted some really interesting historical locations and unique geological features of the Waikiki-Diamond Head area. Our guide took lots of pictures for everyone and was able to answer most all of my questions. At the end of the trip, we got a video of the trip highlights, and lunch provided was delicious. Now, as for the reason I deducted three stars from what otherwise would have been a stellar review… Let me begin by saying that I personally have no political affiliation with any party, and I consider myself to be very fortunate to have friends who are on both sides of the political fence, able to discuss their ideas with me in a respectful manner. Generally speaking, (and no matter what side of the political fence you’re on) tour guides should NEVER talk about their personal political opinions on a tour… it’s bad practice to do so. If the tour guides I had in Washington D.C. (where political opinions would be JUST LOOSELY relevant to the tour) can avoid giving me their personal political opinions, then I certainly would expect a tour guide to Diamond Head (where political opinions are COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to the subject of the tour) to be able to do the same. Furthermore, and still generally speaking, tour guides should ABSOLUTELY NEVER use terms like “Republitards” or “Commiecrats” or any other inappropriate name for whatever group of people they disagree with… It’s divisive, it can potentially alienate members of your tour, and such name-calling from any tour guide, even general name-calling of a political party (no matter which) is flat-out unacceptable. Fortunately I was traveling alone…I would have been terribly embarrassed had I been with any of my friends who happen to sit on the side of the political fence that our guide was referring to… For me, as someone who has no party affiliation, it was uncomfortable enough. Tours like this should be inclusive for everyone to be able to come together and learn about Diamond Head and O’ahu. Everyone, regardless of political opinions, should be able to participate without being uncomfortable. Fun and learning should be for everyone, but the vibe was very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Two stars. I feel that’s generous.

We are sorry you misinterpreted a brief discussion with the other guests. FYI, You know these are your words, Not our guides. These inebriated, defamatory statements do not belong on this platform. We wake up every day doing our best to serve our guests. Here in Hawaii, we live with Aloha in our hearts. That's all we can do.
