An Amazing Tour

This tour was so interesting and educational. Our guide, Eduardo Palomares, was better than any history teacher I had in school. We saw places and learned about things I had never read about or never saw in a documentary. Highly recommed this tour!

Great Tour/Host

Great Walk with knowledgeable host who was extremely passionate about the subject, the walk is about the rise of the Third Reich and NOT about the war which is means you are learning a lot of local knowledge which is not as well known.

Jake was great guide. He was fun and personable. His tour about the Third Reich covers some history that makes people uneasy. He did a great overview at the end to help keep the info chronological. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Great tour for anyone visiting Munich. I had Jax as my tour guide. He did a great job taking us around and explain what happened to Munich during WW1 and WW2, as well as, how Hitler and the Nazis came to power. I totally recommend this tour to anyone interested in this time period.

Very interesting and eye opening tour. Guide was very knowledgeable and confidently answered all questions. Tour was not strenuous and meeting place was a popular visitor area, so easy to find. The tour didnt end at the meeting place but it was only a short walk away. The tour was well worth doing.

Almost painful!

I never post bad reviews, but I have to be honest about this one. Heim was our tour guide and he spoke very quickly, very long, and in a thick South African accent that was often difficult to understand. The first 3 out of 6 stops he picked were only very tangentially related to the Third Reich theme of the tour and were not very interesting. We stood at each stopping point for 15-20 minutes at a time, which was unnecessarily long, especially in the cold weather. He showed tiny pictures to illustrate his points out of a small book that were difficult to see. He did not engage the group in any way or invite questions. This tour could have been so much better! One of the most powerful sites related to the rise of the Nazi Party is the memorial to the White Rose resistance movement, which was just down the street at Ludwig Maximillian University, but was not included. This was just an experience of standing around and listening to someone recite what he learned out of a book.

Too large a group

The group size was nearly 30 with a tour guide who did not have a voice loud enough for all to hear. THe crowds surrounding were large (New Year's Eve!) and he was not able to share the details for all to be able to hear and stay with the tour. This was intended to be the highlight of our time in Munich and was disappointing to leave the tour when 30 people are vying to get closer to one guide to hear!
