Visit to the artist’s home

Definitely worth buying tickets from Viator - line to buy tickets ran down the street on a Tuesday afternoon. Museum has a small collection but it’s interesting to see the artist’s home.

Check for a pdf from local provider. Viator tickets alone don’t work!

The difficulty with the tickets. The Viator tickets saved to wallet do not work with their system. The emailed tickets did not work. The bookings section in the app did not work. To be clear all the things had bar codes but were not accepted by their system. You need a pdf sent by the third party to your WhatsApp and to your phone which I never opened and didn’t know it was from them until I had to call the provider while I was in line. They can take your money to take photos but not for admission. Very difficult but now you know what you need, inside the museum was cool.

The price is too high comparing to the visit of the museum: just few rooms and few pictures. Too much people during the visit.

Crowded but interesting. The wardrobe section was more intriguing. Was a long ride from polanco area. The grounds were very pretty. Buy in advance had to get off Viator bc web site didn’t allow my credit card

A must see in Mexico City

This was our first stop after arriving in Mexico City. The story of Frida was amazing. The house, the garden and all the information shared have me a whole new appreciation for Frida and Diego. The COVID protocol also made me feel safe as they controlled the number of people through the house to ensure it is not too crowded. I am so glad that I stopped at this museum.

Disappointed. Too surrealistic. I expected seeing more of Frida’s art Presentation was disconnected and didn’t flow. Music didn’t fit.

I recommend buying tickets in advance and showing up 5 minutes before the tour time. This way you will skip the long lines. Ince inside you have plenty of space and time to take photos and absorb the energy. My favorite parts were here kitchen, bedrooms and the garden.

Frida’s style of artwork isn’t so compelling to me, but I loved the home, garden, and examples of her wardrobe.

Casa Azul was great; Viator markup is big
Jill_C

If you are a fan of Frida, it's great to visit her house, studio and garden. I also enjoyed the temporary exhibit with Frida's clothing, which gave insight into all of the paraphernalia she wore underneath to support her body through her pain. I booked these tickets because it was challenging booking them directly with the Casa Azul online. However, the markup is significant and my 10 year old child would have entered free but Viator charged full price for him. So great experience, but overpriced. If you can buy directly from the source, I recommend that.

Frida Kahlo museum is a must. It shares some much about her life and time. The town of Coyoacan still has the feel of a colonial era settlement. Sundays are a day for families and parks and village squares are great!
