Mayan ruins

Miguel was our driver, he was very attentive and friendly. The van itself was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning, along with complementary bottled waters. The tour centered around Mayaland Resort, which was the meeting point and where lunch was served. Mayaland Resort was gorgeous and the lunch buffet was delicious! As much as I loved Mayaland property I didn't feel like I had enough time to actually see the pyramids and ruins. Although our tour guide was very informative and great, the tour was very structured time wise, and very little time was alotted to see the pyramids and ruins. Part of that was my fault because I got caught up with the multiple vendors for longer than I planned. I would suggest ignore the vendors and head straight for the ruins, but even still I think the time was a bit shy. I do feel like I have to go back on my own because I didn't see much of the ruins at all. There was also an air conditioned planetarium where we watched a short film on Mayan culture which I liked. After Mayaland we headed to the first cenote which I had ever been to. The cenote was awesome and beautiful! Services there had brand new showers, bathrooms, and lockers. We had ample time at the cenote. I would highly recommend this tour for the price, it was well worth it!

Delio is such a passionate tourguide. Very informative and ready to give the slightest detail. Very accomodating and sweet and speaks very good english. The tour was organized nicely where we got to spend enough time in each part. The pick up was smooth. And the van was spacious and comfortable.

Chichen Itza

This tour was great - the local company emailed me the day before to confirm which pickup point to meet them at. We traveled to Chichen Itza in a small van with AC. Once we were there they offered us water and umbrellas. We skipped the lines and entered the site through the private hotel entrance. The information from our guide was really good and not sensationalized. We didn't get a lot of free time to walk around but honestly it was too hot in July so that wasn't a big deal. The buffet lunch was also great. The planetarium show was meh but it was air conditioned so I didn't hate it lol. Overall, it was a great day and a dream come true to see these impressive Mayan ruins.

Excellent work, Gray Line!

I found this tour by Gray Line to be EXCELLENT as it met my 3 top criteria - educational, comfortable, and fun (otherwise, I would've done it by myself). Our Mayan tour guide, Rosendo Pech was fantastic. He had a cool and pleasant attitude all throughout. He spoke very good English and was able to balance it with the Spanish speaking people in our group (he even taught me a few Mayan words). He graciously shared his knowledge in every site, and answered all my questions on the side (a passerby listened to him while he was discussing and actually commended him for being better than the other guides that she heard). He manages our group very well such that we stick to our timeline, while still enjoying the trip. Towards the end, he was kind enough to drop me off at my lowly hostel. The van we used was very spacious and comfortable (good for 8-10 I think) and there were only 6 of us. I think touring with small groups is much better such that it's easier to move as a group, and huddle to listen to the guide's stories. Regarding the destinations - Ik Kil Cenote was beautiful and I had a great bath (and dive). Chichen Itza is epic, of course, as I learned more about why it's designed that way. And the lunch buffet at Mayaland was amazing - I wish I had an extra stomach so I could eat more. I wish we saw the Temple of Warriors though. But there's a planetarium towards the end, which was a bonus for me. I would recommend this tour, if you're looking at ticking Chichen Itza from your bucket list. It'll make your trip easy and meaningful.

We were in a small group of five people. We spent two hours at Chitzen Itza, one hour cenote swimming and then we had lunch. Lunch had good variety of food. Mini van had airco so the trip was pleasant despite high temperatures.

This is the best private tour I’ve been on! We are lucky to have a group of 4 (including us). The comfortable, air-conditioned van made the 1.5-hr journey to Chichen Itza painless. The guide took us to the cenote first, which just opened and we were the first group to enter! It was amazing to dodge the crowds and enjoy the cenote by myself. The movie at the Planetarium was helpful to learning the Mayan history. We picked a good day (3/21) and saw the descending of Kukulcan!!!

The tour company Grayline was soooo professional, so nice, and I really had a great time! The driver had ice cold water for guests, the tour guide at Chichen Itza was so enthusiastic and I was engaged the entire time of the tour. The lunch buffet was really good and the ancient city is just gorgeous! I would book every tour in Merida with Grayline if I could. They were definitely the best tour company I experience and I went on two other separate tours. I was picked up in the morning on time, and the van was really nice compared to some of Grayline competitors. With this ticket, you don't have to worry about any entrance fees, they are all taken care of, and you'll go to Chichen Itza, watch a movie in the planetarium, have a wonderful lunch, swim in a cenote afterwards and really have a great time. I loved it! Highly recommend.

This was a good trip however when I booked it the site was misleading. Wasnt aware that it was swimming at a cenote nearby versus using all of the Mayaland Resort, it said swimming at the Mayaland resort which we were looking forward to. Lots of vendors selling things at the site, so bring some pesos.
