See its magnificent ramparts and towers; climb the staircase to the Princess Tower; or head down into the dungeons. You can also stroll through the gardens, where falconry, jousting, and archery take place in the summer.

Next, travel to Stratford-upon-Avon. Here, visit William Shakespeare’s Tudor-era home and make the most of free time to explore independently or have lunch (own expense).

Afterward, head to the famous city of Oxford, known as the ‘City of Dreaming Spires.’ On arrival, plug into your provided headset to help you hear your guide’s commentary, and set off on foot to explore time city. See the ivy-strewn, honey-hued university buildings that have inspired generations of scholars, including the likes of Kate Beckinsale and Bill Clinton. Visit Bodleian Library and the famous Christ Church College, which was featured in several 'Harry Potter' movies.

After a break for refreshments (own expense), continue through the beautiful Cotswolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Your tour concludes in the evening with drop-off in London.
Itinerary
Stop At:
Warwick Castle
Over a thousand years of history are waiting to be discovered at this fantastic medieval castle. Set against the River Avon within 64 acres of landscaped parkland, this beautiful castle once belonged to the most powerful man in England, The Earl of Warwick. Learn how the 'Kingmaker' was the only man who dared defy the King, and how he defeated the armies of King Edward IV in battle before taking the King himself as a prisoner. Explore the lavishly decorated State Rooms and 17th-century Great Hall; a room boasting an impressive collection of artefacts including suits of armour and medieval weapons. In the castle's 14th-century gaol, the original dungeon, see graffiti left behind by prisoners hundreds of years ago. How many names can you spot?

Its beautiful architecture has seen it featured in movies such as Harry Potter and The Golden Compass, while it has also inspired replicas around the world. The famous dining hall, for example, has been reproduced in Cornell University & the University of Chicago. The dining hall in all Harry Potter movies is modelled on the Christchurch dining hall!

Great way to see more of England’s highlights!

Warwick Castle is definitely the highlight of this tour. We had a lot of fun exploring the castle and grounds, and Stratford and Oxford was fun as well. The tour guide, Peter, was excellent, as was Michelangelo, our driver. The only disappointment was the Cotswolds. We merely drove through. The tour description and video made it seem as though we’d be able to stop and walk around somewhere. So we feel a little misled. It’s really just a matter of managing expectations.

lack of responsibility
Ludmilla_D

Well, I would like to report the agency's carelessness and lack of responsibility, as when buying the travel package, it told me that the exit was at Victoria Station, at the gate from 1 to 5 when arriving at the station I was informed that there would only be one bus leaving but it wasn't from the agency, i thought it was strange and i called the agency where they will ask if i had received a text message, and i said no! in a moment they will send me the text message, I had to run out and spend it with uber to get there in time or I would miss my ride! a lack of responsibility and respect for the customer.

This was an excellent day-long bus tour to the Midlands. Warwick Castle is an eye opener as a genuine Norman castle. Stratford upon Avon us a delight and the focus on Shakespeare is both interesting and enlightening. Oxford is always a treat. The guide was both informative, interesting and very approachable. An accommodating driver added to the experience. A very worthwhile tour.
