Cradle Mountain Day Tour from Launceston Including Lunch

Rainbow 🌈 appeared while we were walking towards the Dove Lake at Cradle Mountain 😍 Our Guide is local with knowledge of the Launceston Tasmania

Had a great trip with guide Andrew. Andrew had wealth of knowledge not only locally but about the whole state. Thank you Andrew for an awesome day.

Our driver "John" was brilliant, very chatty and knowledgeable. Too cloudy to see the Mountain but the views were fantastic. A must do tour (Wouldn't want to go without "Viator") loved it.

My Husband and I had an amazing day at cradle Mountain. It was so nice to have tour guide John take us through the history on the way to the mountain also too give us some background, thats psrt of the reason we picked a tour instead of driving ourselves. We also had beautiful sunny day!

Doing the walks even in the rain. Driver and guide was full of knowledge on the trip. Mum enjoyed the trip also travelling with her walker.

I'd like to preface this by saying I had a wonderful time, and John our tour guide was excellent. However, the tour description is not very accurate. We stopped off at Sheffield, or the town of murals, to pick up our lunch (a simple roll). We had about 30-40 minutes to get breakfast and walk around. Then we went to the visitor centre at Cradle Mountain to look at souvenirs. After that, we visited Dove Lake (the trail itself it 2-3 hours and there was no time for that). We got our best views of Cradle MountIn from the lake, and the lake itself is beautiful. We also went to visit Waldheim and went on a short rainforest walk. On the way back, we visited Ashgrove cheeses. Pros: - tour guide was excellent. Knew a lot of history about the towns and the mountain and trails - brought us to several little stops that we would otherwise have never known to stop at (e.g. to see a waterfall) Cons: - time was limited at each of the places, so we could not leisurely walk around and felt rushed - lunch was a simple roll and teabags and instant coffee with other little snacks (but we ate at a little cabin near Waldheim) I would recommend you do this tour if: - not interested in doing a proper walk/hike - want someone to tell you all about the history and nature of cradle mountain - want to visit many spots you otherwise would not have thought to visit - don't expect a fancy lunch

Tour involved more driving and only 2.5hours at Cradle Mountain. There was no time to do the Dove Lake Circuit due to time constraints. Could have been better organised.

Tour guide was brilliant..never have come across anyone as passionate and knowledgeable as John with respect to any tour.
