10/10 recommend!

Absolutely amazing, fun filled day! With only three days in La Fortuna, I wanted to see as much as possible - this tour helped me do that! I didn't feel rushed at any of the locations and was able to enjoy them to the fullest. Our guide, Erica, was absolutely amazing and helped us take awesome photos while also giving us lots of information about the locations we visited. She was also excellent at helping us spot wildlife - and thanks to her we were able to see a three-toed sloth, a chestnut mandibled toucan, and several snakes / frogs!

This tour was fabulous. Had an opportunity to see three attractions in one day but didn’t feel rushed at all. Our guide, Erica, was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. All three experiences were outstanding. And lunch was the icing on the cake...local, fresh and yummy. Highly recommend!!

Great full day trip to combine all of the Arenal area attractions

Pickup came promptly, and in no time we were whisked off to Mistico Hanging Bridges. We spent a few hours wandering the paths - pretty much nobody there, just us taking in the animals, such as poison dart frogs and bats. Got great views of the mountain from all over the park! Really enjoyed the morning strolling through the trees. Continued onto the waterfall for a quick soak. Steps down here are sturdily built - no need to worry even when it's rainy. The only bad part is going back up the steps after you're done soaking! Water was deliciously cool and everyone was pretty much split into their own social bubbles. One side on the right goes towards the waterfall, which has a lifeguard that will blow his whistle if you get dangerously close to the spray. The other side is perfect for cooling down and trying to catch some of the little fish swimming by! There is also a fantastic photo spot a few steps up from where the stairs end. We were here for roughly an hour. Went for a delicious casado plate lunch on the outskirts of La Fortuna. Started on the hike after lunch towards the lava fields. We learned more about what happened here - how there used to be a town called Arenal that was abandoned after the volcano eruption damaged it in 1968. Meandering through the forests, we saw the landscape slowly change to something more arid and rocky as we entered the lava fields, which are a black rock. We continued ascending to the panoramic viewpoint after about an hour, and took some pictures. It was raining then, but stopped once we descended back to a separate parking lot. Saw lots of birds on the way!

Great experience! Fabulous guide!

Fabricio was our guide and he was excellent! Our tour included a volcano hike - amazing! About 2 miles over 2 hours with loads of information about wildlife and the volcano. Then we went to the hanging bridges - 3 miles over 2 hours. Absolutely amazing! Again Fabricio was great at spotting animals and full of details about the park. Next was lunch - probably the best meal we’ve had on our Costa Rica trip. So good! Last was the waterfall. It is 500 steps down, 500 back up. The water is very cold and was refreshing! If you are not in good health to walk all this I would do it over 2 days instead. It was really a lot and we were very sore after. Definitely recommend this tour and tour guide!

Ericka was amazing! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and so much fun! We had a blast on our tour with her. She went above and beyond and took so many pictures for my fiancé and I. We would do this tour again if given the chance!

Honest Review-not much action, long. OVERpriced
Carlos_A

Long NOT as in action packed , more as in too much story telling. The guide saw no animals during hanging bridges , we (the tour group) had to find them and point them out . We (again my BF and and friends) saw a snake, frog , praying mantis . The guide saw birds that was it . Then we liked up to the volcano sight seeing part (you just see the volcano you’re nowhere near it ) and he spent an hour just talking story telling nothing really important which was a waste of time . The lunch was good . Lastly the water call was the best part but it’s time limited . So save your money because ALL 3 things can be done on your own by just driving to each location and purchasing an entry ticket at the front . This was so overpriced. And waste da whole day , about almost 10 hours , knowing I could’ve done this all myself . Next time I know

Absolutely incredible experience that I highly recommend. Our guides were friendly and caring; we had a guest who had a panic attack on the first hanging bridge, and they showed incredible care to her, getting her back to the entrance quickly and safely. The entire tour was informative, and the guides were flexible with us in terms of timing. An amazing day! It's physically active, so be ready for a lot of walking up steep stairs and inclines. Our son was 8 years old and he enjoyed the day very much.
