Wine in Tuscany

We really enjoyed leaving the city to go to the Tuscany countryside. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was easy to get to the bus meeting place. I enjoyed the wineries we went to and am glad we chose the afternoon tour. My only complaint about this tour is how long we had at the wineries. I literally had to chug my glass a few times. I totally understand that we were under a time constraint but it was difficult to drink in the limited time we had at each place. All in all, I enjoyed this trip and would do it again!

Very nice afternoon - not too much travelling, some good information and nice wine and nibbles to go with it. We also met some very nice people.

Lots of wine and food!

Travelled to two vineyards. The first was beautiful and we tasted several wines which were served with bread and olive oil. Second vineyard, we had a tour followed by copious amounts of wine and food. Very generous with servings and staff extremely friendly. Also placed an order for a case of wine that we are hoping will be delivered shortly. Definitely recommend this tour.

Had a blast during this tour! Started at about 9am and everyone was quiet on the bus ride to the first vineyard. Once the wine started flowing the groups started inter-mingling and it was fun to meet new people!

Really enjoyed Casa Emma and tour guide Lorenzo.

Enjoyed the bus ride into the countryside. We visited two wineries and tased 4 wines at each location. The presentation at Azienda Agricola Casa Emma was head and shoulders above the presentation at Fattoria Montecchio. The young lady at Casa Emma did an outstanding job of explaining each wine and the vinegar and oil they produce. They also gave us a sheet listing all the products we tried, which was helpful and entertaining as a reference. Fattoria Montecchio gave us a small tour of their wine making casks, but the tasting itself was not very entertaining - they didn't provide near as much information and nothing in writing. It was still a pleasant experience, just not of the same caliber as Casa Emma. Our bus guide Lorenzo did an excellent job and our bus driver Giovani drove us there and back without incident (much appreciated given some of the narrow streets). I regret that I didn't record the name of the presenter at Casa Emma so I compliment her by name.
