Not like the pictures at all

This was the my first time to Xcaret, and the pictures made it look like romantic excursion. First they could not even find my ticket that I purchased online, and I had the confirmation. I wish the front desk would have given use more information about the park because I felt lost, and missed out a lot of the experience. It was more like a Zoo with aquatic animals. The food was horrible it was a buffet, which I was not aware of before buy my ticket. I would not recommend Xcaret, and wish I could get a refund!

Dear Visitor Thank you for sharing your experience with us, We are sorry to hear Xcaret Park didn’t meet your expectations. Xcaret park is not a zoo. It is a natural park with diverse wildlife that provides the best care for the organisms living in it. We have developed special programs about species conservation that include: monitoring, reproduction, and reinsertion to their original environments. Their places have been developed by specialists who assure the quality of the standards at the park Xcaret offers the advantage of including more than 40 attractions among which you can enjoy water activities, exhibitions of flora and fauna, cultural events and workshops, shows, our Xcaret Mexico Espectacular as well as attractions for children. We will take your comments into account to continue our improvement. Kind Regards, Vicky V. Grupo Xcaret -B2B Customer Service

Great experience

better than expected, a true adventure. So much to do and great restaurants to eat at throughout the park. I read the reviews to not get there too early to have enough energy to watch the night show. However, I recommend you do arrive early, rest at the beach for an hour or two so you do have the energy to watch the night show. While Viator is a great option if you are buying last-minute tix, you can go to the park and buy tickets at the box office, it is usually not sold out.

Only three stars because we were frustrated that they made us wait in line to enter while they kept taking people outside the line to the front ahead of us when the line clearly stated that the line we were in was for PRE PAID internet. I think Viator would be interested to know this. The people taken to the front were all locals who had to produce a means of payment like a credit card, while we had paid ahead, and it's not cheap to then be treated this way. One of our party was affected by the crush of people in the heat and humidity and almost fainted, while group after group went ahead. The lady on the outside of the booth kept pointing to us indicating that we were next, and the man in the booth kept shaking his head. I guess tourists are treated with some disdain here. The place itself is beautiful, but outside of what we paid for, any of the extras are extremely expensive. It's a long walk to anywhere and the signage is poor to take you back to the lockers and entrance. Then on the way back the taxi ride magically increased in price from 130 pesos to go there to 250 to come back to the hotel. We only had 200 in pesos, so they finally agreed to that.

Great tour! Love the eco theme. Underground River Swim was awesome 45 min. Natural pools very cool. Take 2 days! Can't see it all in one day. Definitely stay for the night show, very much worth it! Highly recommended!

Absolutely a wonderful experience. The best part for us was the float trip, and the show from 7-9pm. Luckily, we'd been to Chichen Itza the prior day, so we were familiar with some key aspects of the mayan culture, which were enacted in this 7-9pm show at the park. So we suggest you do Chichen Itza before going to Xcaret Park.

What a wonderful park. Enjoyed every minute of it. The zoo, with one puma, one jaguar and one tapir is probably the least interesting part but they have a wonderful butterfly habitat and a separate one for the birds. We saw the voladors, then swam down the river which was a lot of fun, then caught the show of the prehispanic dances and stayed for the two hour show at night, which is worth the price in itself...the lunch was great, we chose the international buffet style which had lots of choices and soft drinks at will. Definitively a must visit, Lina

This tour would be great for a family with small kids. Not very entertaining for adults. Xplor park seems a bit more appropriate for the more adventurous.

This was a fun day! The family had a great time seeing all the animals and checking out the activities. The lunch was the best buffet lunch we had in Mexico! I highly recommend Xcaret for a fun day.

Fuimos por nuestros medios, sólo compramos las entradas a través de la agencia y todo resultó perfecto. El parque es espectacular!! Digno de visitar y los servicios contratados cumplieron ampliamente nuestras expectativas. Todo muy bien.
