What a great tour! Probably my favorite tour ever through viator. Marco is just the best. This is truly an all day experience. Marco is very knowledgeable and you will have a great time with him. Make sure you have water and sunscreen and a hat/sunglasses handy. When im in cancun, i'll definitely do this tour again.

Avoid This Trip - Doesn't Follow Proper Covid-19 Protocols
Shane_T
, Oct 2020
Based on the description of the tour, we expected that Covid-19 protocols would be followed throughout the journey, particularly the element of requiring passengers on the bus to wear masks at all times. Sadly, 10% of the passengers routinely did not wear their masks at all while on the bus. The driver did begrudgingly asked people to wear masks after we complained, but it did not work very well as these passengers simply dangled the masks off their ears and below their chins/noses.. Also, when we arrived at the restaurant, there were at least 30 open tables that would have permitted ample space for physical distancing while eating. However, the restaurant staff was insisting that everyone congregate at two tables (side-by-side, and 2 feet across from each other). We refused this arrangement and sat by ourselves, but all the other passengers ate at the same two tables (side-by-side and 2 feet across from each other) without masks creating a potential mini-covid cluster. We wish we would have known about the laxity of following proper protocols, which is whey we posted this review so future guests can make their own informed decisions.

Day Trip to Chichen Itza

, Sep 2020
This was an excellent tour to Valladolid, Chichen Itza and the cenote, Marco was an excellent tour guide and is very knowledgeable about Mayan culture. His assistant Rodrigo showed me and a few other travelers around Chichen Itza and he too is very knowledgeable about Mayan history. I should also mention that Rodrigo is an excellent photographer if you are looking to get some good pictures for your Facebook or Instagram. And last but not least Victor was an excellent driver and is very punctual, I was picked up and brought back to my hotel at a very convenient time. I highly recommend this excursion if you want to get the best of Yucatán state.

Chichen Itza Tour with Marco
Berkley_H
, Sep 2020
The tour was amazing and Marco was amazing! We were picked up and dropped off and while we had a 2 hour drive there were enough stops that it broke it up nicely. Swimming in a cenote and seeing Chechen Itza was amazing. We had a separate tour guide at Chichen Itza and he thought we could only be in there for an hour when in reality it was two so part of our group left the park and just sat in the tiny lobby for an hour. That was the only negative part of the trip. Everything else was awesome and that was just a simple communication error.

Do not book this tour
Stephanie_R
, Aug 2020
Do not book this tour. The Mayan Ruins at Chichen Itza are closed due to COVID-19. The tour companies are still selling this tour even though they know the tour is closed. I booked this tour before company to Mexico and had to find out from another tour company that Chichen Itza was closed. I have contacted the tour company to get a refund but they have not responded on when I will receive my refund
icon Response from Host , Aug 2020
Good day. We regret the inconvenience caused, the archaeological zone extended its closure and this did not allow us to do the tour. It is a situation out of our hands but we have answered through the platform that your refund will be displayed in 3 to 5 business days. We're sorry for the inconvenience Sincerely Amigo Tours Cancun
