Start with pickup at your hotel, then begin the trip to the Tulum Archeological Site, among the most dramatic ancient cities on the Yucatan Peninsula, with stone fortifications overlooking a white sand beach. Learn about the history and culture of the Mayan people, with free time to photograph the ruins before leaving the site.

Continue to the Mexican Caribbean in an air-conditioned vehicle. Get fitted with snorkeling gear, and slip into the water to swim over the coral reef (the fee for Conservation of the Marine Fauna is not included in this tour, and must be paid during the tour).

The afternoon is all about the natural world: follow your guide into a cave that’s bristling with stalagmites and stalactites, then take a walk through the jungle, listening to a forest chorus of tropical birds and animals. Amazing value and amazing guide :)

José/pepé was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and I could tell he's truly passionate about the ecosystem and what he does. He did a great job of letting us know what we could expect and keeping the group together and gave my mom extra attention to make sure she was doing ok after she had some concerns. Each part of the tour lasted the perfect amount of time and it was all stunning. We saw a sea turtle, angel fish and 2 sting rays. The water was choppy so we were all a little green around the gills after snorkeling but so worth it (dramamine after helped). The only thing that wasn't included on the site that's important is sunscreen, we could only apply it at the first stop so it would absorb into our skin enough to do minimal damage to the reef which is awesome #savethereef! But we weren't aware prior so I HIGHLY recommend wearing a rash guard and bringing a hat. Ivan was a great driver too, overall 10/10 experience. Just a longgggg drive if you're the first stop. Will definitely be doing again hopefully with the same guide!

The tour was terrific, the guide John Paul was informative, gracious, and funny. The ruins were an interesting piece of history, snorkeling was beautiful as we saw turtles, stingrays, fish, and colorful coral. The highlight was swimming through the caves at the cenote, and seeing up close the stalagmite and Stalactite it was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend it!

Awesome cenote
Alex_ZM
, Sep 2021
Although the day was very long, we had a great time. Our favorite part was the cenote - that was a really cool unique experience. Arturo was a very good guide and told us a lot about the history and culture. The ocean was too choppy for snorkeling so we snorkeled in a lagoon, which was nice, but we didn’t see any turtles or rays. Pickup was prompt and communications was great.

Hi Alex, thank you so much for sending us your kind comments, and good to see you had a good time overall with Arturo. Hoping you can have better luck next time with Turtles, these can indeed be impredicible due to weather sometimes. we will be happy to welcome you in the future!

So happy we did this tour! We were lucky to have the perfect weather once we got to the ruins. The cenote and exploring the caves were the best part! Our guide Boax was very knowledgeable and eco-conscious. I would recommend for anyone who wants to do a little bit of everything in Tulum.

A Terrific combo experience

The Mayan city tour in Tulum was beautiful. Seeing up close the structures they made and the science behind it was great. Snorkeling is always fun, and the change in venue due to weather made it more enjoyable for the inexperienced guests. The cenote was incredible. The cool water felt rejuvenating! Great experience! And our guide Mariano was spectacular!

A little too much upsale.
Canna420
, Sep 2021
The tour itself was nice and very informative. However, I do not like the upsale You don't know that there is going to be a "professional photographer" on the trip with us and therefore that is the hook that you are going to be stuck with to try to make you purchase photos. The problem with this is that it took away from the experience having to stop for professional photos. I opted out of this however this decreased my experience. I was on this tour as a scouting trip for clients that will be coming down in December. I believe that the tour itself was good if I decide to utilize this tour company again I will certainly request that we do not have a professional photographer on board.

Viator isn't the Tour Company, they refer it out to a 3rd party and it wasn't a good experience.

Ocean Tours was the company that actually took us on the trip. We paid 40 US dollars after the last tour for photos that were taken during our day. They actualluy charged us more that the currency conversion stating they could do that. Aurturo was our guide and promised the pictures would be emailed to us within 2 days. It's been a week and nothing, no pictures, just a scam. This was our first adventure on our honeymoon and was unfortunate that it ended with false promises.

Action filled day with awesome guide.

We had an absolutely BLAST on this trip. Our guide, Pepe, was incredibly knowledgeable with a great sense of humor, and always took care of our group, like pivoting to a different snorkeling spot due to strong waves. And our photographer Guillermo helped us capture some really fun memories tho throughout the day, especially while snorkeling and our (semi-private) visit to Xtun the cenote. Would highly recommend this to our friends and fellow visitors. One thing to look out for, apply non-DEET mosquito repellents before getting to the cenote as the entrance is a mosquito swamp – I learned it the hard way. The trip lasted from 8am to 4:30pm from pick up to drop-off.
