Worthwhile day trip
Amanda_L
, Jul 2022
Enjoyed this day trip- both Dinant and Luxembourg were interesting to see and I felt a day trip was more than sufficient to see these places. Both very different from Brussels! The views were beautiful and the tour offered flexibility in either going on a guided tour or doing your own thing. It was a lot of time on the bus but that is to be expected given the distance and the bus was comfortable. The guide helped us see places I never would have found on my own but I wish he’d shared more interesting stories and tidbits- as it was though he was navigating giving the tour in two languages which was a lot.

Bus ride was uncomfortable

Bus was too hot. No AC and very uncomfortable. Travel time took too long and we barely had time to see the actual sites.

Do your own research. And map out the city in your own before you go.

Don’t do it if you are jet lagged! And do your own research on Luxembourg. We didn’t and I really felt like we missed out on some pretty awesome history. Our tour guide was nice but we couldn’t understand anything she said. Extremely bad broken English, I could understand more in Spanish then English. And she spoke so so fast. Make note of where the bathrooms are and ask. Many other people on the tour were disappointed as well because the tour guide will make or break your tour.

Good but wouldn’t do it again

The tour is fine and no issues with the general concept. However, I would spend a couple of days in Luxembourg instead of a couple of hours. Lesson learned for next time. The tour is too regulated and not much free time is given - however, the itinerary is clear and we knew this going in. So in short, wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

The driver Elvis was excellent! Unfortunately the guide did not provide a great tour in Luxembourg, disappointing.

Great day trip with an energetic and informative guide. While a long ride on the bus, worth it to see a little bit of Luxembourg. Left me wanting to go back and see more of the country. Loved the stop in Dinant on the way home.

Fantastic tour! Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Albert with Brussels City Tours was very knowledgeable, organised, and had an excellent sense of humour, which made our trip so memorable. We had about 30 min guided tour & 30 min of free time in Dinant, and 60 min guided tour & 2.5 hours of free time in Luxembourg. Despite the rain, we learned a lot and enjoyed our tour very much! Would highly recommend this experience to anyone!

The are very organized company. Staff there are very helpful. That is my second trip with. Our guide was Mary. She is very nice, fanny, and informative. First we visited Luxembourg, is a beautiful city with nice views. Then we visited Dinant, which a small town with stones building.

Fantastic day trip to see Dinant and Luxembourg. Albert, tour guide, had a great sense of humor and did a great job navigating two languages on the tour. This is perfect for someone who wants to see two beautiful places on a day trip.

Luxembourg & Dinant - a long day
Nancy_A
, May 2022
I think I enjoyed the beauty of the areas of both Luxembourg & Dinant the most on this day trip. We had wonderful weather so no complaints there. I felt our tour guide was a bit lacking in the historical significance of the areas. Also, don't like getting my info repeated in multiple languages. Makes a long day even longer. These cities are beautiful. The scenery was gorgeous but historical significance could have been better.

My husband and I enjoyed the tour! Our tour guide Albert was funny and great. The only downside is we went on a Sunday which most shops are closed.

Tour guide was very nice. English and Spanish was a little annoying. Feel more would be coveted if one language. Would like to have spent more time in Dinant.

A good day trip from Brussels
Anjali_K
, May 2022
It was a good day trip. Our guide Miriam was very entertaining and knowledgeable. She spoke both in English and Spanish for both type of speakers. Both Luxembourg City and Dinant were beautiful and both deserve at least a day’s stay to explore the important bits. However this trip is perfect if you have less time on your hand and still would like to check out the cities a bit.

I had a great time. Myriam was knowledgeable and I got a lot out of this trip. Wish we had more time in Luxembourg but it was a nice primer for what to do on the next trip there.

6 hours in a bus, 3 hours in Luxembourg, 45 minutes in Dinant only
Michelle_H
, May 2022
Do not take this trip on Sunday! However, it’s the only day this tour is offered. Why offer a tour on a day that has 95% of the shops closed?? It was also memorable being on a hot, stuffy bus for 6 of the 11 hours because this is where we spent most of our time. Rather than stop 30 minutes after only 1 hour of travel time, this trip would be better spent travelling straight to Luxembourg to maximize the tour. This guide (Miriam) had knowledge of places but did not make extra effort to ensure travellers could hear/see/understand.

The tour was very well organized, starting from meeting point in the center of Brussels, the time we spent in Luxembourg was enough to get feel of the city, our guide Miriam was very passionate, caring and knowledgeable On the way back the stop in Dinant was great addition to the wonderful day. Comfortable bus, super driver. Highly recommended for all.
