Before we were worried it might feel too long. Shocked how fast it went and amazed how much we packed into the day!

Loved our guide Dastan. It was a wonderful adventure but his narrative and education puts it over the top. Enjoyed so much!

This was an amazing tour, and the guide Dreu really did a fantastic job. We spent just the right amount of time at each location, and we’re able to see quite a lot over the course of the trip. Dreu worked very hard to ensure everyone had a great experience and his dedication and effort really showed. I would definitely go on another tour the next time I come to Hawaii.

Best experience on our 6th time visiting Hawaii

I cannot express enough how pleasant and incredible our experience was with this tour. The most important part was how our tour guide Aaron made the most impact in this journey. He educated us with the history, geography, and culture of the island, not to mention his knowledge in astronomy, and also his patience to answer all of our questions with his pleasant manner. He is an incredible human being!

This was a great way to see the island in a day! Our tour guide was great, and shared some of the legends and history of Hawaii. My favorite part by far was the volcano!

Unimpressed

Overall, this tour was unimpressive. Our guide Dasten was friendly, however he was unable to connect with us to really explain the history of what we were seeing. We would arrive at a stop to have no idea what we were seeing to then get back in the van to drive for a long while. We had picked this tour due to the variety of stops and the star gazing. The stops were subpar compared to the descriptions. For example, at the coffee farm our guide just explained the process to us, instead of someone from the farm. Due to weather, we were unable to see many stars, but it would have been great to still hear about them or the lore behind them. I would recommend a different tour for your trip to the big island.

High quality tour and great way to see a lot in a day.

Derek was a great guide! The day was well planned and we saw a lot. Fantastic three hours at Volcano National Park. Stargazing had a lot of potential - but the full moon kept the sky from getting dark enough to be spectacular. (If I had been smart enough to research that I would have booked a shorter tour). It is a very long day and while the van is nice the drive seems extra long for those of us who get a bit carsick. Picnic lunch exceeded expectations and restaurant dinner had plenty of entree choices but food was average.

Derek was the best! He is so knowledgeable! We had a great tour! He reached out to us before our tour started to let us know where to go and when he was a few minutes away. Be prepared for a long day full of fun and memorable experiences. Bring charging cords to keep your phone, camera, etc charged and closed toe shoes are a must!

A great adventure

A wonderful and very full day! We saw so much and wished we could stay longer at each stop, but remember this is an introduction to the Big Island. If there was a particular stop you truly liked you can go back another time. Our guide was perfect! I highly recommend this experience early on in your visit.
