Educational and interesting tour

I would highly recommend doing this tour if you have the time while in Berlin, having a certified guide makes all the difference. Our guide was Gregor, he was extremely knowledgeable and very passionate, but also knew how to properly handle the more difficult topics. He made the tour feel educational and interesting, it did not feel depressing or heavy. The camp itself does not have too much left standing, but there is still plenty to see of what remains. Certain barracks were conserved, with exhibitions inside, and our guide explained everything we saw, and the importance of each room. We spent three hours there looking at the highlights, you could easily spend more because there is plenty to see. Our main tips include there will be a lot of walking without any rest stops, there also won’t be any time to stop for snacks, and limited bathroom breaks, so be prepared. We were lucky with the weather, but it can get very cold and windy. Also, be sure to get the ABC train ticket before leaving, your guide won’t provide it. Overall, it was a eye opening experience that we highly suggest visiting while in Berlin, a huge thank you to Gregor for being such a phenomenal tour guide.

We had a great day with Campbell our guide. He told the history with great compassion. He brought the history to life so that we can share with others the stories of the victims in the hope that the world will not forget what happened in those terrible years. Many thanks Mick and Enda

An Insightful and Eye-Opening Tour, Everyone Should Experience At Least Once

A difficult subject for sure, but important for people today to experience and remember so that it never happens again. I first want to say that this tour was so easy from a navigational standpoint, as our small group met at a central point in Berlin where our guide ensured we all had the right train tickets and then helped us through the train system and transfers to Oranienburg where the camp was located. Jess, our guide, was PHENOMENAL, with a vast knowledge of the history and political environment that contributed to this very dark time. It's both incredibly sad and incredibly eye-opening, because you can understand some of the rationalization that occurred not knowing how terrible the outcome would be.

This was a well-organised tour, with an expert guide. The subject matter was of course challenging and it was approached with great sensitivity; at the same time we were all challenged to think very hard about what we were seeing. We were a mixed group of adults and teenagers with varying knowledge of the history of the period, and this tour was informative and thought provoking for all. It was exactly what we wanted - I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Caesar was an amazing guide. The day we went was so cold and wet but not once did any of our group ccomplain as it only helped to bring a small insight of what the poor men must have endured whilst there. A very thought provoking place and well worth a visit. Could recommend enough. Thank you Caesar sorry the review is late.

WOW! What an informative moving tour. He was able to give us so much history behind the Saschsenhausen Camp and explain in depth what went on there. Such a sad horrific part of our history.
