Returns to original departure point
Emerge early and depart from central Belfast in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan destined for the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Giant’s Causeway. Along the way, listen to legends surrounding the formation of the mystifying natural wonder that consists of hexagonal rock columns that fit together like a puzzle. Climb the coastal stones, listen to intriguing myths, and feel the invigorating ocean breeze as you spend some leisurely time at the natural landmark.

Travel the scenic Antrim Road to the famous Carrickfergus Castle, an impressive Norman fortress considered one of Northern Ireland’s best preserved. Hear of the structure’s intriguing history before traveling to the Old Mushmills Distillery, home to one of Ireland’s favorite brands of the amber nectar. Revitalize with lunch at the distilleries bar (own expense), and purchase special whiskey-related souvenirs from the gift shop (own expense).

Then, it's onto the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. On arrival, conquer your fears and walk tentatively across the rickety bridge suspended 100 feet (30 meters) above the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean (own expense). If you’d prefer to keep your adrenaline levels stable, opt for a bracing walk along the coast instead.

Relax during the scenic journey back to Belfast, which passes the medieval Dunluce Castle, and bid your guide farewell in central Belfast.

Guide was fantastic - tour description is inaccurate

Patrick was a fantastic guide, great sense of humour and very knowledgeable. 10/10 for Patrick. Only criticism is of Viators description of this excursion - it does not state that Carrick a Rede bridge cannot be visited due to Covid. Fairly misleading as this is something many people look forward to. Still had a grand time but Viator, it's actually pretty outrageous to be selling tours to places when the tours don't even go to those places. How on earth are you getting away with it?

Very slightly disappointed, not by McCoys or their driver/guide who was both informative and humorous, but by the restrictions placed on the various stops due to Covid. Still enjoyed it.

Awesome! Patrick, our tour guide, was fantastic! His enthusiasm was enough for the quiet lot he had. For a local tourist like myself, it help orient me into northern Ireland. Looking forward to more tours!

This tour was amazing! From start to finish! Firstly, Derek the bus driver/tour guide was absolutely fantastic, He made the trip telling us all about the history. The drive along the coastline of Antrim was amazing and all the stop offs on the way were great too. Obviously the groaners causeway itself was great too! Well worth the money great value!!!

Fantastic day tour!

Our tour guide Derek was extremely accommodating and friendly. He made sure everyone was comfortable and insisted we come to him if we had any problem at all. The guided tour was complete with his jokes and stories about each stop we made. Not only was our tour guide amazing but so was the trip itself, it made various stops and Derek recommended the best places to go take pictures. The day was very well spent and the tour is without a doubt very good value for your money!
