Hola!! I’m Betsy Morales, a Oaxaqueña, someone who was born and raised in the beautiful city of Oaxaca! Located in the heart of the city, is the world-renown Benito Juarez market, where my family has owned a family restaurant for over 20 years. I know the Oaxaca markets like the back of my hand, as I grew up in the markets.. surrounded by the flavors, smells, culture, traditions, and visitors from around the world! It is an honor to share with you the traditions and cultures of my beloved Oaxaca. I will share with you my knowledge of Oaxaca’s internationally recognized gastronomy. In addition, the “Oaxaca Street Food Tour” supports the lifeblood of our community, generations of local business owners. As we say in Oaxaca.. !Buen Prevecho! Betsy Morales

Cultural Tour of Oaxaca City with Tasting

Cultural Tour of Oaxaca City with Tasting

We will begin our tour by viewing the Santo Domingo de Guzmán temple, a monumental architectural complex of the Dominican Order, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful examples of the barracks in Mexico. We continue on foot on the tourist walkway, from Santo Domingo de Guzmán and to the city center, where various museums, galleries, handicraft stores and restaurants are located. In the center we will be able to enjoy band music and marimba, which play in the kiosk of the zócalo, we will visit the portals of the center, in the constitution garden. During our tour we can enjoy a delicious Oaxacan snow or a "Tejate", a refreshing pre-Hispanic drink. We will end with a visit to the November 20 market, where you can enjoy the rich gastronomy of Oaxaca and the Benito Juárez market, which is the most traditional, where you can buy the famous "Oaxacan mole", Quesillo and Chapulines.
