The Basics

Red Rock Canyon, with its large formations of red rocks and ample outdoor activities, sits a world away from Las Vegas, despite being visible from the city. Rock climbers come to conquer the 3,000-foot (914-meter) red sandstone walls of Keystone Thrust, while mountain bikers find optimal conditions on the Mustang Trail. Some of the best views of the American Southwest landscape come from the Red Rock Canyon Overlook, a 13-mile scenic loop through the park that gives visitors a look at the Mojave Desert scenery from the comfort of a car or bicycle. Tour options are plentiful—horseback rides, guided hikes, electric bike rides, Segway, and scooter tours, or even a romantic hot air balloon ride.

Spectacular scenery
Excellent experience! We had Irving as our guide and he was awesome. We chose the Calico Tank Hike and the views were gorgeous. It was about 3 miles long round trip but consisted of a lot of rock scrambling. The views from the top were absolutely worth the work! Highly recommend.

Scooter Car Tour of Red Rock Canyon with Transport from Las Vegas
What a fun adventure in the Red Rock canyon! Thanks to Leo and Johnny for making it a really enjoyable outing for us and not getting irritated at having to show us how to set/release the parking brake nearly every time! They give you a comprehensive safety talk before the tour as well. Be prepared to drive on city streets to and from the canyon. My first time in a scooter car and it was a blast. It was scenic and beautiful through the canyon. Also thanks for the cold water!

Red Rock Canyon Electric Bike Half-Day Tour
Our family truly enjoys riding e-bikes in the beautiful Red Rock Canyon. My two sons, my husband, and I loved the tour very much. Our tour guide, John, was very friendly, informative, and helpful. John was so kind making a special trip to our hotel to bring back to us a cell phone that my son forgot in the transport car. A great memory to look back on our first trip to Las Vegas! Thanks a lot.

Red Rock Canyon, Ghost Town and Seven Magic Mountain / Private Tours Available
My wife and I took a private Red Rock Canyon tour with our driver and tour guide Victor. Victor was very knowledgeable about the sights we saw and catered to all our needs. We also visited the oldest bar restaurant in Nevada located in a ghost town as well as some very unique artwork located in the desert. My wife and I highly recommend this tour.

Scooter Tours of Red Rock Canyon
Steve and Jake were amazing. We had great training on the scooters. Steve gave amazing info about Vegas and about Red Rock Canyon. All was done with kindness and professionalism. They even helped me take care of my wife after she got overheated in the 115 degree heat. Would definitely do again

Red Rock Canyon, 7 Magic Mountains, Boulder City and Hoover Dam Tour
Our tour guide Mathew was very good in taking care of the safety of his customers, and for me he went the extra mile in picking me up, the only bad thing is the communication with his office I was not told the pick up time and gate was changed,Thanks to Matthew for going the extra mile. I would have been mad if I missed the tour .

Las Vegas Red Rock Canyon Helicopter Tour
The pilot was completely hilarious and still safety conscious. The price wasn’t out of line, the staff inside was friendly and professional, booking was easy, and overall it was a great experience. Kinda hot in the helicopter, but really what would you expect? I’d go again!

Things to See In and Around Red Rock Canyon

Because the Red Rock National Conservation Area covers such a sizable swathe of desert, it's home to many worthy natural attractions. The Calico Hills are one of the park's most famous sites, accessible via a moderate hiking trail. Visitors will find old agave roasting pits from Native American history along the Calico Tanks Trail, while Willow Springs boasts petroglyphs. Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, situated adjacent to Red Rock Canyon, was once a working ranch owned by millionaire Howard Hughes.
