SEA LIFE® Hunstanton Tours

SEA LIFE® Hunstanton
A state-of-the-art marine aquarium, SEA LIFE® Hunstanton takes visitors on an undersea odyssey filled with close encounters with a wide variety of sea creatures. The staff at the center, known as Rainforest Rangers, are happy to show off their jungle creatures and creepy crawlies to visitors.

The Basics
Purchase tickets to SEA LIFE Hunstanton at the door or, for discounted entry and guaranteed admission, online ahead of time. Visitors embark on a journey from the ocean to the rain forest through several themed zones, both inside and outdoors. You can watch waddling Humboldt penguins and Inca terns in the Penguin Beach; meet Asian small-clawed otters along the Otter River; watch blacktip reef sharks and a green sea turtle named Ernie in the Ocean Tunnel; hold a snake in the interactive Rainforest Ranger Basecamp; and attend daily educational talks and feeding demonstrations. For an additional fee, you can upgrade your visit with experiences such as feeding the sharks and turtles, a before-hours visit to the seal hospital, or feeding the seals.

When to Get There

SEA LIFE Hunstanton is open seven days a week (except December 25 and 26), from morning until late afternoon. During weekends and holiday periods, there may be a wait time, and you may have to wait outside, so book ahead if possible. The attraction is busiest between 11am and 3pm.

Seal Hospital

SEA LIFE Hunstanton contains the only seal hospital in Norfolk that’s open to visitors. The Wash and surrounding areas along the Norfolk coast are home to both grey seals and the densest population of common seals in the country. Since opening the hospital in 1989, SEA LIFE Hunstanton has helped rescue and rehabilitate more than 750 seals. Visitors can see patients recovering in the seal hospital and socializing in the pool.
