Amazing trip!
We really enjoyed our time there. Was so much fun and amazing seeing all the different fish and reefs. Our guide, Julian was amazing as well and very informative, always willing to help. Had great refreshments as well which totally hit the spot after coming out of the water! Would totally recommend!!

Wonderful tour from start to finish: professional crew, great snacks, great equipment and amazing snorkling in crystal clear waters. We were dropped off at the beach club at the end of the tour (included in tour package). A lady at the the beach club told us there was a minimum spend on food, or pay a fee to stay. I texted our tour guide and got a response right away. Our guide even called the beach club to clear the issue. Amazing service and can't recommend this tour enough.

Good service but not so good snorkeling locations

Good service but not so good snorkeling locations. Good communication and good service on boat but snorkeling sites were poor. Very near to shore where corals are wiped out so no so many colored fish. These sites were right next to where cruise ships were at port so a quick trip but there are better sites. You get what you pay for.

Guide was great, funny guy. We saw some beautiful fish, but nothing else, guess we were hoping for a bit more (but we weren’t promised anything more so it was okay). Was definitely worth it and we were very well looked after, thank you.

Really fun day out on to Cozumel from the mainland. Our guide met us and took us in a taxi to the marina along with another family. Soft drinks, flippers and also a snorkel tube that we could take as a souvenir were all included in the price. All of the guides were super friendly and helpful and one even took our go pro to film some of the caves deeper in the water for us. Really smooth experience and would definitely recommend.

How to Get There

Paradise Reef is located off the island of Cozumel near Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. It lies south of the Puerta Maya Cruise Ship Pier and is one of the first dive sites in the Cozumel Marine Park. Experienced swimmers can do the dive from shore, but most choose not to fight the current and instead dive from a boat. You can opt for a private charter boat or a guided tour.

Cozumel’s Coral Reefs

Cozumel is best known for its expansive coral reefs, some of the largest in the world. Paradise Reef and the Palancar Gardens are ideal spots for novice divers and snorkelers due to their shallow depth and offer a chance to glimpse sea turtles, colorful fish, towering coral spires, and gently waving sea fans. The Palancar Caves are probably the most famous dive site, with huge brain corals and swim-through tunnels. Palancar Horseshoe is another massive formation of corals.
