At Cologne’s Odysseum, the exhibitions are organized into two themed rooms and an outdoor play space. Theme Room Life includes activities like an archaeological excavation, a ropes course, and a jungle-themed adventure zone, while Theme Room Earth takes you on a journey to space, with activities that include a zero-gravity astronaut trainer and a flight simulator.
Things to Know Before You Go
Entrance tickets for the Odysseum offer full access to all the exhibitions and activities; plan at least 2–3 hours to explore them.
Family passes are available, and children under 4 enter for free.
Most exhibitions and play areas are designed for children 4–11 years old, but accompanying adults and older kids are sure to have fun too.
Visitor facilities include a restaurant, gift shop, coin lockers, and paid parking.
The museum is wheelchair accessible, although some activities may not be suitable.
How to Get There
The Odysseum is located on the eastern edge of Cologne. The closest S-Bahn station is Trimbornstr. (S12, S13, S19); from there it’s a 10-minute walk to the Odysseum.
When to Get There
The museum is open year-round, every day except Monday. Weekends and school holidays are the busiest times.
